We’re seeking a Senior HR Business Partner – International to join our global HR team at Abion. This is a unique opportunity to shape people strategies across nine countries, working at both operational and strategic levels to support business growth worldwide.

About the Role

As a Senior HR Business Partner – International, you will play a critical role in aligning HR strategies with business objectives. You will partner with mid-management leaders across nine markets, stretching from Asia to Dubai and UK, navigating legal and cultural complexities while building cohesive and scalable HR support.

This is a temporary position covering parental leave, offering a unique opportunity to step into a senior international HR role within a growing organisation. 

In this role, you’ll act as a trusted advisor to the business, driving talent development, organizational effectiveness, and cultural initiatives. You will be supported by Office Managers in Malta and UK, who oversee administrative tasks related to payroll and employment documentation. 

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with international leadership teams to align HR strategies with business goals.
• Advise on employee relations matters and foster a positive, inclusive workplace culture.

• Support talent acquisition, succession planning, and performance management processes.

• Drive learning and leadership development initiatives, including the Abion Leadership Program.

• Collaborate on compensation and benefits to ensure competitiveness and compliance in each market.

• Ensure legal compliance and effective HR governance across all jurisdictions.

• Champion efficient HR processes and use analytics to guide decision-making.

What We're Looking For

• University degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Experience in HR Business Partner roles, with an international focus.

• Strong knowledge of HR best practices and employment laws across multiple jurisdictions.

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.

• Strategic thinker with the ability to influence and collaborate at all levels.

• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

• Experience working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and managing complexity.

• Willingness and ability to travel internationally as required.
