About the Role

As a Senior Java Developer, you will join a development team of 10 engineers working in an agile process to continuously improve and extend our platform. Abion operates in the growing field of law tech, combining legal expertise with modern technology. We help businesses manage and protect their intellectual property assets — such as trademarks and domains — across multiple markets.

This is a full-stack role. You will primarily work with Java and Quarkus on the backend, while also contributing to our React-based frontend. We’re looking for someone who enjoys understanding the full system — from database and services to the user interface.

The position is based in either Malmö or Gothenburg.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services using Java, Quarkus and Wildfly

• Contribute to frontend development in React

• Participate in architecture discussions as we move toward microservices

• Perform code reviews and write tests to ensure high quality

• Collaborate with the team to deliver well-structured and maintainable solutions

What We're Looking For

• Relevant higher education

• Several years of experience within the Java ecosystem

• Experience with Quarkus and/or Jakarta EE

• Experience with React

• Familiarity with Docker and SQL Server

• Experience working in agile teams

• Strong communication skills and fluency in English
