About the Role
In this role you will be part of our Oslo team, which currently consists of two attorneys/partners, two associate attorneys, and two IP administrators. In addition to our Oslo office, we also have satellite offices in Trondheim and Stavanger. You will be part of an extended international legal team of more than 120 employees across Abion’s offices in the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Denmark, Sweden, Spain, Italy, Turkey, and the UAE.
In this position you will quickly take on an independent role with significant responsibility and a variety of tasks, including:
• Conducting preliminary assessments to evaluate risks and opportunities related to intellectual property rights.
• Assisting clients with trademark and design registrations—nationally and internationally.
• Handling oppositions and administrative reviews before the Norwegian Industrial Property Office and EUIPO.
• Negotiations and acquisition of domain names.
• Assistance in domain name disputes.
• Providing strategic advisory services and legal counselling.
• Supporting dispute resolution matters.
What We're Looking For
We are looking for someone who is positive, outgoing, ambitious, service‑minded, and able to build strong relationships both internally and externally. You are comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment while also being a strong team player
In addition, we are looking for the following qualifications:
• Master of Laws degree (cand.jur.)
• Relevant experience within intellectual property law is a significant advantage, whether from the Norwegian Industrial Property Office, KFIR, or an IP law firm.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Norwegian and English.
• A high level of precision and strong communication skills.
• A strong interest in the field of IP, with ambitions for professional and personal development.
